Getting Started for Couples.
The process starts by the Couple contacting NWED for
the assistance in finding an Egg Donor.
A picture along with an informational page is accessible
on each of our donors on-line through our special access
page. You may view donor's pictures and profile free
of charge by contacting our office at
(208) 895-8667.
If we do not currently have the specific ethnicity
or donor you are looking for, just let our office know
what criteria you are looking for (eye, hair, height
ethnicity etc..) and we would be more than happy advertise
for you (anonymously) free on your behalf or obligation
to use our agency.
Most all of our donors are willing to travel to your
area for the retrieval unless otherwise stated on our
website.
The Couple will then make their selection on which
Donor they would like to work with and notify NWED.
NWED will contact the Donor chosen, making sure the
time frame works for her and that she wishes to proceed
with the cycle.
Upon both parties agreeing to proceed forward, the
"Ovum Donation Services Agreement With Intended
Parents" contract will be sent out first to the
Donor then to the Intended Parents.
Recipient Couple has 14 days to return the signed
contracts along with fees due ( view "Fees"
page) to NWED.The Donor will begin her Egg Donor process
first by going to the appointed Psychologist for her
psychological evaluation, as well as taking the MMPI
test.
Donor will then proceed on to her medical screening to ensure she is in good health and able to begin her cycle (Recipient Couple is responsible for any and all of Donors Medical bills as well as medication pertaining to the Egg Donation process for the Donor).
The medical screening will consist of a vaginal ultra sound, drug screening, physical and random blood test to test for AIDS, HIV, Hepatitis etc.
All of the Medical expenses for the Donor are paid
by the Recipient Couple and need to be prearranged by
the Couple with the medical Doctors, labs, clinics and
NWED prior to the Donor going to any appointments.
If for any reason the Donor chosen by the recipient
couple does not pass any one of these test the Recipient
Couple has 1 year to find another Donor to work with
through NWED.
